Why we have it:

Service Organization Control (SOC) The SOC audits have been the standard 3rd party audit for a broad range of industries and sectors over the course of the last few decades. SOC 2 Type 2 audits assess a service organization handling some aspect of another company’s business as a 3rd party. In the data center industry, more and more data center companies are using SOC 2 audits to get an objective view into their business operations as well as at the data center level.

Having accredited auditors examine Data Centers offers valuable industry insight, as well as perspective into the latest information around security practices. SOC 2 Type 2 audits offer an unbiased assessment of our national operating model over a period of time and at each Data Center, giving customers confidence that no mater what facility they are in, all assets deployed at the Edge are secure and available.

The Payment Card Industry Security Standards Council set the information security standards for organizations that handle card payment transactions. These standards are known as the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS), and must be followed by any organization that processes card payments. The standards are designed to protect against fraud by utilizing controls and best practices when dealing with customer’s critical data.

We must adhere and operate within the rigid PCI DSS standards to ensure card payment transactions are safe and secure. Handling and transmitting cardholder information at the Edge has never been more secure.

In 1996, the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) was passed by Congress, which enables employees of companies to retain health insurance while in between employment. Hospitals, insurance companies, healthcare providers and IT professionals within the healthcare industry heavily rely on HIPAA, which was expanded in 2009 to include Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health Act (HITECH). With the transition from paper to digital, HIPAA compliance is critical for companies operating in the healthcare sector.

Our customers in the healthcare industry have very strict data storage requirements and we are committed to ensuring that our Data Centers and Services are safe and secure locations for storage and use of sensitive data. Patient healthcare information and records are more readily accessible to those who need the information quickly.

The scope of our International Organization of Standardization: ISO 27001:2013 certification includes the Information Security Management System (ISMS), which aims to appropriately preserve privacy and the Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability (CIA) of information assets. The ISMS framework serves as a mechanism to appropriately identify, select, maintain, and improve information security controls that are critical to its clients and business. The ISMS is managed from our offices and supplemented by production data center facilities.

ISO 27001 is a proven industry framework and mindset for identifying information assets, controls and mitigation steps to secure the companies and customers information pertaining to our Data Centers, Systems, Processes, employees and contractors. In addition, a continuous process improvement lifecycle that goes through rigorous reviews, executive alignment and annual audits.

Open-IX OIX-2 Certification is a best-in-class and first ever global certification for data centers desiring to serve as points of network interconnection. OIX-2 Certification sets a minimum level of service, SLA and engineering for data centers. OIX-2 was developed by a broad consensus of world-class data center managers, engineers and their customers. It sets the standard for massive-scale interconnection supporting facility performance, resiliency and reliability for all that need to be able to reliably interconnect networks

We encourage and enable cost-effective local interconnections and open peering between our customers and we strive to meet Open-IX standards and compliance in our Data Centers
